Standing On The Promises

I'm washing dishes in the bathtub and it is certainly not the most glorious calling. Right around the corner, a little boy is doing his business on the pot. I begin scrubbing crusted potatoes off a mammoth sized casserole pan as the little boy around the corner starts singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow. His three-year-old lisp and slightly off-key notes make me smile. I think I'll just sing along! Rejoice in simple pleasures; so often found in the mundane and unlovely circumstances of life! Emily Jo Promise! That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.   In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,  Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
