USA Trip Part 1

Image
I can hardly believe that we've been in the U.S for 4 days already! It's been a fun time. I only have pictures of the past day or so because I got my camera yesterday! Better than nothing I guess! We were so happy that Aunt Sherri and cousin Randi Leigh came over for the night! We have not seen them for a very long time, and it was good to catch up.                                                  Grams made us a delicious dinner! L-R: Myles, Aunt Sherri, Grandpa, Grams, Randi Leigh After dinner we went to Uncle Wade and Aunt Joscelyn's for a game night. We started out with "Buzzwords", and our team won because Uncle Wade and Aunt Joscelyn are such good guessers!  Playing "Buzzwords" Knightley (Wade and Joscelyn's son) wanted to show me all of his books! Then we moved on to a new game that we just got called "Splendor". I had never played this before, but after the first few turns I was hooked. It is so much f

USA Bound!

In exactly 9 days 19 hours and 3 minutes (or more correctly the 15th of September at 7:30am), Myles and I will be on a plane headed for the good ol' US of A!  Why? All of us need a taste of home once in a while, and since all of us can't go Daddy is sending Myles and I as "ambassadors".  We plan on going to the beach, fishing, eating Mexican food, hiking the hills, soaking up clean fresh air, and most importantly, visiting family and friends.  We'd appreciate your prayers, and would love to see some of you while we are there!!!  I will try to update this with pictures every once in a while. Standing on the Promises, Emily Jo  Promise : Psalm 91:1,2   He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.   I will say of the  Lord , He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

I don't know about you, but almost every time I play or sing it, I am moved by the simplicity of God's amazing grace. God forgave me, a vile sinner that slapped him in the face, spit on him, then nailed him to a cross. That is amazing grace. God loved me, the person that sentenced him to die, that turned his back on him, that mocked and scorned him. That is true love.  I am so thankful for his grace towards me, and I tell him that all the time. But, when it comes time to show someone else some grace, I find it very, very difficult. Thoughts like, they don't deserve my forgiveness, look how they hurt me, they were so rude! In fact, I think that was an outright lie. I can not forgive them. Can you imagine what this world would be like if Jesus had given in to those thoughts? I don't even want to think ab
