In This Is Love

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, an was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Philippians 2:5-8

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:3-5

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
Herein is Love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
1 John 4:9,10

Some of these verses were running through my mind when I sat down at the piano one morning. I began to play a simple chord progression. I grabbed a Bible, and put the words to music using that same progression. This is the song that the Lord gave me:
                                In This Is Love
Despised and rejected of men,
A man of sorrows, Acquainted with grief:
We hid our faces from him;
He was despised we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, And carried our sorrows!

In this is love,
Not that we loved him,
But that he loved us,
And gave his son to die for our sins.
In this is love,
Not that we loved him,
But that he loved us.
          In this is love.

He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities:
The chastisement of our peace
was upon him,
And by his stripes,We are healed!

You can listen and download it from the player below.

We truly have a loving Father. He paid a high price so we could experience his love and grace.
I hope that this song is a blessing to you!
