Thankful From Far Away

Thankful that Jesus loves me and that he saved me from sin.

Thankful that all of my daily needs have always been met.

Thankful for family.

Thankful for friends.

There are so many things to be thankful for. I have been so richly blessed.

Thanksgiving season always brings back wonderful memories of family time and good food. We've been in Bolivia for three thanksgivings now, and boy do I miss the family gatherings! Skits, strawberry pretzel casserole, good music, turkey, and all of those thanksgiving traditions have a special place in my heart (and stomach!!).

More recently, thanksgiving has been a time to get together with other gringos and stuff ourselves with (improvised) traditional thanksgiving foods and to enjoy fellowship. These times have been wonderful as well, and it shows that no matter where you are, you can celebrate the true spirit of thanksgiving, even if you don't have a turkey!

Blessed and thankful,

Emily Jo

Promise: Psalm 100:4,5 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
