Of Emily and Life

Dear Loyal Readers of the Standing On The Promises blog, (what a title you folks have!)
You have probably been wondering where in the world I have been. Let me tell you, I have been nowhere and yet everywhere at the same time. Yes, it is an oxymoron and no, it doesn’t make much sense.
My life has been so busy, but often I scarce know where my time went at the end of the day. I will admit that I can always find time to read a few chapters of a good book throughout the day.
So in short grammatically incorrect sentence fragments I will tell you what my life is made up of.
In no particular order:
Early mornings.
Bible reading and memorization.
Coffee. (It keeps me going)
Book writing. (I’ll explain some other time)
Dealing with lots of children.
Thinking about the book that I’m writing.
Online research.
Naps.
Sourdough. Feeding it, baking it, making pancakes. (not to mention eating it)
Running. Pushups. Crunches. stretches. (Can you tell that I’m trying to get in shape?)
Reading good books. (I recently read a couple that were not so good. Don’t ask me who the author was; these books might be your favorites.)
Singing with siblings until my throat aches.
House cleaning.
Listening to good music.
Nannying.
Cooking.
Sleeping.
Not eating sugar—what a trial!
Reading other people’s blogs and wishing I had the inspiration to write one myself.
Playing the cello, ukulele, piano and guitar.
Algebra. (said with loathsome tone)
School.
Sharing the Word.
Neck ache.
And all the while, God’s never-ending grace, love, and forgiveness, are poured out on this thick sculled child of His in a never ending stream. I’ve been covered by the blood, set free, forgiven, loved, and all around blessed. Oh, praise Him!

Just so you all know, we are returning for a visit to the USA on the 27th of January!!! YAY!!!

We are not going to have internet for the next month or so, so this will most likely be the last blog post for a long time.

Still standing on the Promises,

Emily Jo
Promise: Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
