Welcome to Mattix Coffee!!!

Allow me to give you a tour of our latest project--Mattix Coffee! Our friend, Christopher Mattix (hence the name), has been getting ready to open a coffee shop here in Camiri and our family is helping him. My dad is providing expertise from being in the coffee business for almost eighteen years, and I'm doing what I love to do, making coffee and yummy food!

We opened our doors on Tuesday, the 13th. All twenty-two of the Bible school students came in to celebrate!
Here we are with all of the Bible school students!!! Carol Mattix is on my left and Christopher Mattix is on my right and since it would take too long to name everyone, I'll stop right there!

Now come on in and enjoy the tour!!!

"The scent that unites us" is our shop quote. I think it sounds much more poetic in Spanish. Let's say it together, one, two, three, "el aroma que nos une." There, don't you think it sounds better?
Who wouldn't want to come in with this friendly person to welcome you and make you a delicious coffee?
 Mirror selfie!!!
Here is where the perfect coffee is created...
...by the perfect coffee maker, Rudi himself!!
 Hello from afar!!!
Our delicious creations, chocolate chip cookies (yumm!) and cuñapés, a kind of cheesy, fatteningly scrumptious Bolivian bread.
Check out our super cool cups!

Now come on back to the kitchen, where we make paninis, frappuccinos, baked goods and milkshakes.

 In case you are
wondering what in the world that red thing is, I'll explain. That is our pump system for the espresso machine, and the cause of many headaches for Daddy!
The picture shows our panini grill (an amazing invention!) and the blender that we brought from the US. He and I are old enemies. However, we have been getting along better recently.

And, last but not least, the freezer, where we keep our mammoth containers of ice cream, our ice cube makers, ham, cheese, and frozen cuñapés.

If you get a happy feather to come down and see us, I'll make you a coffee on the house, and I may even throw in a panini de cuñapé!!! :-)

I hope you enjoyed the tour of Mattix Coffee!

The grand opening is on the twenty fourth, so stay tuned for more!!!
